In
August 2002, another 8 employees from CVIC SE obtained IPMP
Certificates; this brings the number of CVIC SE employees
with IPMP Certificates to 14. Since the year 1998, CVIC SE
has adopted PM techniques to improve project success rate
when some of its projects are delayed or completed over budget.
In order to launch PM according to international criterion
CVIC SE actively cooperated with famous management organizations,
including the International Project Management Association
(IPMP), the China Project Management Research Committee (CPMRC),
and the University of Regina in Canada. Mr. Adesh Jain, vice-president
of the IPMP, was invited to CVIC SE several times to give
speeches or training on Modern Project Management.
At present PM has been widely used in nearly
all software development and system integration projects,
as well as pre-sold projects, which greatly ensures a project's
success. As a result, CVIC SE has been selected as one of
the pilot companies of PM in China by the IPMA. Moreover,
Mr. Jing Xinhai, President and CEO of CVIC SE, was elected
deputy president of the CPMRC, and was also one of the first
three chief PM assessors in China.
