On May 16, 2003 the first phase of the Shandong Transportation E-Government Information System, built by CVIC SE, was checked and accepted. It indicates that the Shandong Transportation Department has taken a new step in the use of information technology.

The first phase of the Shandong Transportation E-Government Information System, the core of the Shandong transportation information construction, consists of the network infrastructure platform, data center application platform, multimedia application platform, system security management, and application development. The system integrates a series of CVIC SE’s products and solutions, including e-government solutions, infor-brand middleware, and security network software.

The newly built system can bear new application development, and can easily integrate old application systems. It can be described as "One Platform, Two Portals, Three Kinds of Application". "One Platform" is the Shandong Transportation E-Government Information Platform, which is not only the underlying platform for the Shandong Transportation Industry Applications, but also the infrastructure services platform for the Shandong Transportation E-Government Application Systems. "Two Portals" means Shandong Transportation E-Government internal information portal and external information portal. "Three Kinds of Application"
include different applications respectively running on Intranet, Extranet and special network.

Mr. Xu Shaotong, general manager of CVIC SE, expressed at the ceremony, that CVIC SE had established a long-term good relationship with Shandong Transportation Department.
