On July 3rd, 2003, Mr. Jing Xinhai, Chairman
and CEO of CVIC SE, was invited by the China General Consulate
Business Office in Sydney and Australia Business Limited
(ABL) to give a speech on "Software China" in
ABL’s Sydney headquarters. Ms. Christine Gibbs Stewart,
general manager of ABL’s international business department,
presided over the speech meeting. Senior managers from over
50 IT companies in Australia were in attendance to hear
the speech.
In Mr. Jing's speech, he highlighted the rapid growth of
China's economy, and illustrated China's great market potential
as a world class manufacturing center taking into account
such things as GNP, import/export value. Mr. Jing said "Today,
China's market is a great opportunity for foreign investors
and foreign enterprises since China's government has taken
many effective stimulating steps to attract foreign companies
including China's entry into WTO, tariff reduction, investment
process simplification, stable political and economic situations."
Based on the analysis of China's software industry, market
chances, and human resources, Mr. Jing explained potential
challenges and opportunities for those foreign-funded enterprises
that are eager to enter into China's market. Mr. Jing also
put forward the cooperative framework used when China's
software enterprises are looking to the world market.
After Mr. Jing's speech, Mr. Liangquan, CTO of CVIC SE,
gave a brief introduction to CVIC SE including the company
profile, technological expertise, customers, team building,
project management, and international software market expansion.
Finally, Mr. Jing and Mr. Liang answered the questions of
attendants about China's achievements, government policy,
software copyright protection, foreign exchange market,
and comparisons between China's market and India's market.
The attendants expressed great interest in China's market
potential and positively explored the possibilities to cooperate
with CVIC SE. Mr. Jing welcomed the attendants to have a
look at China and CVIC SE in the coming days.
Mr. Jing also paid some visits to local companies including
ASK, Mincom, Lumley, eFunds Australia branch to seek for
cooperation in his Australia trip.
