Mr. Liang Quan, CTO of CVIC SE and general manager of the Overseas Business Division and Mr.Giovanni On Aug 26th, The 9th CVIC SE Fund evaluation meeting was held in Suzhou. Professor Xu Jiafu, Academician Yang Fuqing, Academician Dong Yunmei and other expert evaluators attended the meeting. Two outstanding software talents were chosen to receive the CVIC SE Talent Award.

This year’s candidates are Dr. Wang Qianxiang from Beijing University and Dr. Chen Guihai from Nanjing University. Their candidacy will be published in the Guangming Daily and Computer World and provided there are no valid objections, final approval will become effective in three months.

The CVIC SE Talent Award was set up by CVIC SE in 1995. The purpose of the award is to recognize significant contribution to society through software development and to support and encourage diligent study. The CVIC SE Fund Evaluation Commission consists of Chinese computer software experts and academics. In 2002, the award became the only computer science award formally recognized by the State Ministry of Science and Technology. The recipients have all been outstanding young talents and most of the winners have become doctoral supervisors. Many have also received the title ‘Changjiang Scholar’ or the title ‘State Outstanding Software Talent’.
