First Chinese Project Assessed for The Highest International Honors for Excellent Project Performance
 

On August 8, 2005, an assessment team composed of 5 assessors, Mr. Erik Mansson (Sweden), Mr. Michael Browne (U. K.), Ms. Sonja Ellmann (Germany), Mr. Gyan Prakash (India) and Mr. Jerzy Stawicki (Poland) came to CVIC SE for the sight visit of Shandong Highway Information System, which is the first Chinese project nominated for IPMA international project management award.

International Project Management Association is the main promoter to develop the internationalizing of project management. The IPMA (International Project Management Association) annually awards project management prizes to project teams that achieve, and can prove, great feats in project management. It is the highest international honors for excellent project performance.

Though the two day long site visit and interview, the five assessors approved of the achievements that CVIC SE has obtained in project management. They all agreed that the strong points CVIC SE owns include: training and further education for team members, collaborative team work, the flow, method as well as the concentration on project management. The chief assessor Mr. Erik Mansson commented that IPMA is the top award in project management, similar to the Oscar in film industry. Their coming to CVIC SE has proved that Shandong Highway Information System is a very good project with a high level.

It is reported the results of site visit will be submitted to the the Award Jury as a key basis for obtaining the IPMA International Project Management Award 2005.
