February 18, 2006, Award Ceremony of China 2005 Top Ten Series Talents was held at the Hall of CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) in Beijing. Mr. Jing Xinhai, Chairman & CEO of CVIC SE won the title of China 2005 Top Ten (Science and Technology) Talents for his outstanding contributions to China’s software research and development.

The ceremony was hosted by the Committee of Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports, CPPCC All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, China Enterprise Confederation, China Federation of Industrial Economics, Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Peking University, China’s Talents Semi-monthly, CETV and UNESCO Beijing Office.

Li Tieying, Gu Xiulian, Re Di, vice chairmen of the SCNPC (Standing Committee of the National People's Congress) and Li Guixian, Zhang Siqin, Abulaiti, vice chairmen of CPPCC, as well as Peng Peiyun, Chi Haotian, Bu he and Sun Fuling attended the ceremony and awarded medals of INDEPENDENT INNOVATION, HONESTY & INTEGRITY, FORTUNE & WISDOM, INDUSTRY & COMMERCE, MANAGEMENT, CONSTRUCITON, TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATION, NEW & SHARP AND POWER separately to the 100 talents from diverse industries nationwide. Wang Xiaopeng, Executive Director of the Election Activity Committee, announced that all winners had made extraordinary achievements in Work, Worth and Words in the spirit of pioneering, innovation and excellence in the last few years.

Other people of exceptional importance and reputation were also on the list of winners, such as Song Jian, Honorary Chairman of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Yining, a famous Chinese economist and Long Yongtu, Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia. China 2005 Special Awards of Merit were given to Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng, both the Taikonauts of Shenzhou No. 6 spacecraft. Meanwhile, 9 others also won the title of China 2005 Top Ten (Science and Technology) Talents, along with Mr. Jing, such as Zhang Bonan, the General System Designer for Shenzhou No. 6 spacecraft, Xu Guanxian, one academician of Chinese Academy of Science, Yang Mianmian, CEO of Hair Group and Feng Maorun, who is the General Engineer of Ministry of Communications.

Under the guidance of a strategy to reinvigorate China through human resource development, the election activity of the China 2005 Top Ten Series Talents aimed at forming a favorable atmosphere of respect for work, knowledge, competent people and creation.
