| On December 15, 2006, the Eleventh "CVIC Software Fund" Awards Ceremony and CVIC SE-Shandong University Overall Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony were held in Jinan. Professors, representatives and recipients, from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, National University of Defense Technology, Tsinghua University and Shandong University, government leaders of Shandong Province and Jinan City, President of Shandong University, students and teachers from Shandong University, customers and partners of CVIC SE were invited to attend the ceremony. Dr. Jing Xinhai, Chairman and President of CVIC SE, and Ms. Cheng Jianping, Vice President of CVIC SE, also attended.
CVIC Software Fund, is the only computer science and technology award that is formally recognized by the National Ministry of Science and Technology, and has been for the last eleven years. So far, 35 recipients have been awarded the prize, all of whom are outstanding young talents and most of the winners have become doctoral supervisors and experts of the national "863 Program", “973 Program”, etc. Many have also received the title Changjiang Scholar’or the title 'State Outstanding Software Talent'.
At the awards ceremony, Dr. Yang Guangwen, from Tsinghua University and Dr. Gao Xiaoshan, from China Academy of Sciences received the titles of “CVIC Software Fund Talents”. Computer Geometry and Application, co-written by Pro. Wang Jiaye of Shandong University and Pro. Wang Wenping of Hongkong University, were selected to be entered into the CVIC SE Series Book.
After the Awards Ceremony, CVIC SE signed an overall cooperation agreement with Shandong University, under the principles of “taking advantage of each other's strengths, pursuing practical results, supporting each other and seeking common development”. According to the agreement, Shandong University is an important training base for CVIC SE, and CVIC SE sets up the CVIC SE Scholarship especially to encourage excellent and poor students of Shandong University. This year, there are 55 students who have received the first CVIC SE Scholarship. As the most important part of the agreement, Shandong University Onjob-Training Base was unveiled at the singing ceremony.
At last, Pro. Xu Jiafu, China’s most famous software scientist, director of CVIC SE Software Fund Committee, professor from Nanjing University, gave an excellent lecture entitled NDQ Java Quantum Program Design Language and Quantum Operating System, which represented the newest software development ideas in the world. Dr. Yang and Dr. Gao, had also given lectures about Grid and Geometry Automatic Theorems.
