PhaseⅡof SMSSIS (State Maritime Safety Surveillance Information System), built by CVIC SE with a contract, smoothly passed appraisal, on February 14, 2007. Appraisal Meeting of the PhaseⅡof SMSSIS was held at State Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) in Beijing. More than 40 officials from both MSA and branch offices, along with invited experts, attended this meeting. Mr. Fan Jiqing, General Manager of E-commerce and E-government Division of CVIC SE, on behalf of CVIC SE, also participated.

First of all, Appraisal Committee carefully listened to project reports which were separately made by the designing unit, the constructing unit and the implementing unit of PhaseⅡof SMSSIS, then, performed an on-site assessment of equipments at computer center of MSA, and watched the presentation of the business software.

Experts of Appraisal Committee gave an appraisal opinion at last: PhaseⅡof SMSSIS, contracted to built by CVIC SE with a contract, has been completed strictly according to related regulations issued by State Ministry of Communications, and been appraised under application for check and acceptance. PhaseⅡof SMSSIS shall be formally delivered on Feb.14, 2007.

Since 2000, CVIC SE has come into the area of maritime safety management informationization, successively got contracts for building PhaseⅠ/Ⅱof SMSSIS for MSA and its branches. PhaseⅡof SMSSIS shall be applied to 1006 different units of MSA. SMSSIS, regarded as a strong and effective management tool, is going to enhance the strength of maritime safety surveillance and also going to provide an informationization platform for “Digital Maritime Affair” and “Sunny Maritime Affair”.
